Hi, I'm Holly Sherman
A Certified Instructional Designer and eLearning Developer.
I am a Certified Learning Design Professional and eLearning Developer who brings a rare blend of creativity, empathy, and problem-solving intuition to every project I take on. In my role as educator, I learned how to understand people on a deeper level. I learned what motivates them, where they get stuck, and what helps them feel confident enough to grow. That ability to read between the lines and get to the heart of a problem now shapes the way I design learning experiences.
I am intensely creative and known for finding unexpected solutions, especially when resources are limited. Turning constraints into opportunities was a core part of my career as an educator, and it has become one of my greatest strengths as an instructional designer. Whether I am crafting a scenario, simplifying a complex workflow, or transforming raw information into a clear learning journey, I look for the human story inside the content and design from there. I know how to think outside of the box and innovate!
I am also a strong writer and collaborator who thrives in environments where ideas are shared openly and learners are always at the center of the work. I care deeply about creating learning experiences that feel meaningful, not mechanical. My goal is to make people feel supported, capable, and empowered because learning should help people become better versions of themselves, not just check a box.
Every project I take on is an opportunity to blend creativity, compassion, and strategy into something that truly helps someone else succeed. That is what drives my work, and it is the thread that ties my educator past to my instructional design future.
The following badges are part of a rigorous 9-month program through the Applied Instructional Design Academy (AIDA). Each badge was earned by completing targeted training, receiving extensive one-on-one and group coaching, and developing multiple instructional design and eLearning projects.
Every project followed an iterative design process, including needs analysis, storyboarding, prototyping, development, review, revision, and final delivery. Throughout the process, projects underwent multiple rounds of QA, including instructional soundness checks, accessibility considerations, usability testing, and alignment to adult learning principles and business goals.
All work was reviewed and vetted by experienced, practicing Instructional Designers, ensuring it met real-world standards and expectations. This program fully prepared me for my transition into instructional design by simulating professional workflows and reinforcing best practices used in the field.
